Macaroon Shindig

Macaroon Shindig is a print-based zine founded in 2000. The zine has covered, discussed, lauded, and given a skeptical eye to politics, music, and pop culture. Featured bands, artist, and personalities include Anberlin's Stephen Christian, brokeNCYDE, Devo's Gerald Casale, Gym Class Heroes, Henry Rollins, Motion City Soundtrack, the Plain White Ts, Reggie and the Full Effect, the Riot Before, and These Arms Are Snakes.

Macaroon Shindig participated in the Vans Warped Tour zine booth during the entirety of duration (2002–2003). Copies of the zine were available for fans at each stop of the tour.

The zine is available through mail-order, independent book stores, and the Winsome Icarus Etsy shop.

Lessons for Old People

Lessons for Old People is a humorous, informative, "hands-on" instruction manual examining pop culture and technology. Written for my mother, and people like her, Lessons for Old People aims to help savvy, brilliant, and good humoured readers navigate the stormy seas of pop culture, the Internet, and newfangled technology. Previous posts include lessons on using a second generation iPod Shuffle, the Westboro Baptist Church, and chopstick etiquette.

The Perils of Public Transportation
