Macaroon Shindig began in September 2000. Since its inception the zine has featured interviews and articles about the following: 100dBs, Against Me!, the All American Rejects, Eight Fingers Down, Fall Out Boy, Fork 'n' Spoon Distro, Form of Rocket, Good Charlotte, the Guerilla Girls, Gym Class Heroes, Homegrown, the Hour Glass Demo, Buckle Cord Distro, Gerald "Jihad Jerry" Casale (of Devo and Jihad Jerry and the Evildoers), Henry Rollins, the Late Night, Mike Doughty (ex Soul Coughing), Motion City Soundtrack, MxPx, Passed Out Promotions, Piano Black/Uptown Stomp, the Plain White Ts, Points West, Punchline, Reggie and the Full Effect, the Riot Before, Simple Plan, Something Corporate, Taking Back Sunday, These Arms Are Snakes, Verbatim. Contributions and essays have been written by the forces behind various college students, journalist, artists, activists, and musicians. The zine is currently released two to three times a year. Features and main content remains online and full issues are sent by mail to readers and independent book stores. |
